The trustees and directors at IIRE have resolved to adopt the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the United Nations which are also adopted by the IMO.
“The Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, and peace and justice.”
The SDGs have been adopted by ISF to fuel the ecosystem and the Research Confluence in a strategic and futuristic manner and ultimately achieve each goal.
Alongside the adoption of the SDG’s, IIRE has advanced its activities towards their commitment to support creation of the much-needed Eco-System which will encourage and facilitate authentic and meaningful research in the maritime and allied sectors.
The International Maritime Research Confluence starring from 2020 is being launched with the purpose and goal to further the research eco-system in the maritime industry.
To develop an eco-system which will advance meaningful research in maritime industry and popularize Indian research and researchers
To connect the researchers with companies and the industry looking for solutions and new innovations
To provide a research platform for the researchers, authors, decision-makers, associations, companies, etc.
