See ProfileMr. Punit Oza is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) and is currently the Chairman of the Singapore Branch of ICS. He has over 26 years of experience in Dry Bulk Shipping. He is a graduate in Financial Management and Accounting from University of Mumbai and a post graduate in Shipping, Trade and Finance from CASS Business School, London. He also holds a LLB from University of London and is a visiting professor for “Private International Law” at Brickfields Asia College (BAC), Singapore, which is affiliated to University of London.
Beginning his career with Precious Shipping, Bangkok, he has worked extensively in Thailand, Hong Kong, Dubai and Singapore with companies such as Noble Chartering, Astra Shipping and Aries Shipbroking.
Mr. Oza joined Torvald Klaveness’ Singapore Regional Office in 2006. Having essayed multiple roles within Klaveness including heading the processes, systems and competence unit, he has now moved into the Board of Klaveness Asia as a director.
He sits on the board of Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF), on the Maritime Industry Advisory Committee (MIAC) of Singapore Maritime Academy (SMA), on the Trade and Connectivity Sub-Committee of Future Economy Council (FEC) and on the Membership & Growth Committee of Singapore Institute of Directors (SID). He is also a member of Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA) and Maritime Law Association of Singapore (MLAS).
